Lina Simone Jarrell, 83, Maryville, TN formerly of the Oak Plains Community, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Maryville, TN.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mallory's United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Jarrell, nephew officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jarrell was born October 20, 1925, in Tucquegnieux, France, daughter of Ricardo and Helena Acomanni of Florence, Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace R. Jarrell. They were married September 25, 1945 in Florence, Italy. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lillian Jarrell; siblings Silvano Acomanni and Romano Acomanni; and son-in-law Larry Longshore.
She retired from Acme Boot after 36 years, was a member of Mallory's United Methodist Church, Thomasville, TN, volunteer at the Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library, the Soup Kitchen, City Museum, a bell-ringer at Christmas for the Salvation Army, member of the Belmont Club, and French-speaking clubs.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Jarrell Longshore, Livingston, MT; Nancy Jarrell Livezey, Nashville, and Julia Jarrell (Jon Kerry) Blackwood, Walland, TN. Grandchildren are Laurie Longshore (Mike) Cox, Livingston, MT; J.T. (Sabrina) Livezey,Nashville; Jon Livezey, Nashville; great grandsons Caid Cox and Brad Cox of Livingston, MT; sister Liliana Acomanni, Salerno, Italy.
Pallbearers will be nephews Marvel Mickle, Terry Jarrell, Doyle Lancaster, Barry VanDohlen, Bill Tucker, Tom White, neighbors, William Swaffer and Larry Jarrell.
