Lester R. Gibbs, age 72 of Clarksville passed away Monday, March 8, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Davis Potts officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Garden.
Lester was born October 14, 1942 in Clarksville to the late William and Ruth Gibbs. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Gibbs, Lawrence Gibbs and a sister, Susan Freeman.
He was owner of Three Brothers Pancake House and the Country Boy Diner.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Bobby) Morrison, Kym Meeks, Michael (Tiffany) Phillips, Lester Matthew Gibbs, Wendy Meyers; brother, Glenn (Gwen) Gibbs; sisters, Marion Duncan, Mildred Green, Lillian McCord; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Freeman, Brian Heuer, Wayne Bowers, Wayne Gibbs, Lester Matthew Gibbs and Michael Phillips. Honorary pallbearer will be Lester Gavin Gibbs.
