Leota Bowles

The family would also like to thank her wonderful caregivers from Right At Home. Leota Pearl Bowles, age 104 of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Keokuk, IA passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at her residence. No local services are planned. Services will take place at a later date in Iowa.
Leota was born March 16, 1911 in Denver, CO to the late Eugene and Clara Moore Spencer. She worked the majority of her life in the medical industry as a home health aide. She was a devoted military wife and lived in many areas. Wherever they settled, she was responsible for starting a Boy Scout or Girls Scout Troop, as well as, Sunday School programs. She had a divine love for children.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis R. Bowles; son, Lee E. Bowles; and two siblings.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Patrick) Kennedy of Clarksville, TN, Otis (Kit) Bowles, Jr. of Ottumwa, IA, Donald (Betty) Bowles of Kent, OH; daughter-in-law, Bits Bowles of Lompoc, CA; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
