Lcpl Joseph Mirabile (Ret)

Funeral service for Joseph Anthony Mirabile, age 72 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, April 6th at 4pm at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4pm.

Joseph passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.   He was born on December 10, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to Anthony and Nicolina (Leggio)Mirabile who precede him in death. His wife of 12 years, Sharon (Sullivan) Mirabile, survives in Clarksvile.

Other survivors include daughter Elizabeth Natividad son Randy Baskn and wife Emily Baskin daughter casey roach and husband Justin roach. 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Josephine Mele and husband Joe Mele and Fran Parker and husband Chuck Parker.

During his service in the United States Marine Core was awarded many honors including a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was funny loyal honest and generous. He enjoyed many hobbies including art making jewelry along with his devotion to teach these skills to anybody he could. He loved to laugh and tell jokes. He enjoyed music and loved spending time with his family. He was an unforgettable character who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
