Kevin Lane King, 52, Clarksville,  was called home Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Montgomery County. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Justice officiating.  Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.   He was a distinguished member of The Old Guard in Ft. Meyer Virginia, 172nd Brigade Ft. Wainwright Alaska, 2nd 327th Infantry Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, and US Army Recruiting Command. His many accomplishments in the Army were: Air Assault School, Airborne School Honor Graduate, Expert Infantry Badge, One overseas ribbon, Four Good Conduct Medals, Three Army Achievement Awards, and Two Army Commendation Medals, He also completed BNOC as an Honor Graduate. Retired SFC Kevin King proudly served in the United States Army for 12 years and 5 months. Kevin was born a leader. He set his standards high and led by example. He was devoted to his country, family and friends. His sudden loss will be felt by all that loved him.  Survivors include his wife Kimberly Jean King; daughter, Taylor Jean King; brother Dr. A. Paul King and his wife Mollie, of Erie, PA. Brother Jared Drew King and his wife Gail, of Erie, PA., sister Lori Jane Metz and her husband Terry of Lincoln, DE, Donna King of Kapaa Hawaii. Nieces and nephews Jennifer King Kenney, Jessica King Washko, Justin King, Matthew Metz, Nathan Metz, Trevor Metz, Christina King and Jarrod Federoff. Mother and Father-in-law Judy Miller Zauner and Husband Wayne; brother-in-law Kent (Shannon) Barnard; sister-in-law Kerrie (John) Baldi and nephew Dakota Vidis.
Military will serve as pallbearers.
