Kathryn Head Sturkie, age 82, of Clarksville passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 and from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sturkie was born September 4, 1932 in Montgomery County to the late Walter and Eula Stack Head. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Sturkie; brother, J.R. Head and sister, Annabell Renz.
She was a Gold Star Wife, a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include; daughters, Wendy (Edward) Walsh of CA, Janet (Tony) Joiner of FL, Dawn Sturkie of
TN; brothers, Walter (Betty) Head, Kitty (Bob) Hoffman; grandchildren, James Sturkie, Sally Walsh, Paul Walsh, Brent Joiner and Megan Joiner.
