Karen Lee Moore, age 56 of Nashville, TN passed away June 14, 2017 after a battle with cancer. Preceded in death by father, Wallace V. Moore, and ex-husband and friend, Ron Elliott. Survived by mother, Barbara M. Moore; sister, Janet Moore Miller (David); and brother, Roger Moore (Connie). Karen was born on January 30, 1961 in Chattanooga, TN and was adopted by Barbara and Wallace Moore when she was three months old. She grew up in Knoxville and Nashville, and grew up to be a spunky, loving, and well-loved girl. She attended University School of Nashville (aka Peabody Demonstration School) and graduated from Hillwood High School in 1978, where she was honored as a top student in the Spanish language classes. She graduated from Nashville Tech in 1982, certified as a computer programmer. She had a long career in the logistics industry following her graduation. Karen was an accomplished pianist, having studied piano for nine years at the Blair School of Music. She had a love of animals, particularly her cats. She was a kind and loving and unselfish person, who will be missed by all. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville or the Nashville Humane Association.
