Luther Vern "Buck" Ellison, Jr., 62, Clarksville, died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Shephard officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Ellison was born August 3, 1948 in Jesse, WV son of the late Luther V. Ellison, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Smith Ellison. In addition to his father Mr. Ellison was preceded in death by grandson, Brandon Kerr. Mr. Ellison was retired from the auto sales field and cable installation. He enjoyed golf, bowling, pool and watching sports on television. In addition to his mother, Dorothy M. Ellison, he is survived by sons; Kyle W. Ellison, Timothy (Ann) Ellison, daughters Yvette (Terry) Dailey, Allison (Rex) Clinard, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister; Anita Ellison and caregiver; Fran Beck. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
