Joyce Shoulders

A Celebration of Life service for Joyce Carpenter Shoulders, 90, of Clarksville, will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest near her mother and father. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Joyce was born on February 25, 1931 in Clarksville, TN to Patrick Edward Sr. and Lucy Stevens Carpenter. She passed away on November 7, 2021. Joyce was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, and once owned Joyce's Market in New Providence. She loved taking care of others, traveling, and singing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Shoulders; brother, Patrick Carpenter, Jr. She is survived by children: Angela (Stephen) Owen, Georgia Gayle Palmore, Scott Shoulders, and Steve Shoulders; grandchildren: Christina (Brandon) Carr and Kati (Jordan) Appenrott; and great-grandchildren: Brianna, Jazzlynn, Marvis, Braydon, and Ky'Rynn.
