Joy Pigott

Joy Lynn Pigott, 51, was born on October 29, 1972 to Gary and Shirley Williams in Germany. Joy was employed by TRiO Student Support Services for 21 years at Austin Peay State University. She enjoyed painting, pottery, bowling and reading. Joy was a published poet. She also loved ladybugs, the theatre and musicals. Joy was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, and Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority at Austin Peay State University, where she remained an active Alumni. 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Zachary Pigott, sister, Shannon Williams Howard, brother, Gary Franklin Williams, niece, Mackenzie Paige Williams Howard, nephew, Ethan Rourke Williams Howard, her dog, Chewie, and many other loving family members. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
