Joy Fain, age 75, passed away Tuesday Jan. 10, 2012 at her home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Sat. Jan. 14, at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Visitation will be Friday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Palmyra UMC Cemetery. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fain was born Mar. 7, 1936 in Montgomery County, to the late Nolen Gus Crockett and Madge Bridgett (Wickham) Crockett. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, and the Ft. Campbell Eastern Star #547. She graduated from Austin Peay in 1958 & obtained her Masters Degree in Education in 1973. She was a retired teacher from the Montgomery County School System & also taught English as a second language.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Jack Fain, daughter Lori Caldarelli and sons Michael Caldarelli, and Shannon Fain. Other survivors are her brother Jewel Crockett, and grandchildren Emily Caldarelli, Ryan Frazier, and Laura Summers.
