Joseph John Doherty, 82, Clarksville, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Deacon Dominick Azzara and Father Charles Matthew, OFM officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Doherty was born October 30, 1927 in Detroit, MI, son of the late David and Delia Burke Doherty. He retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service. He is survived by his wife Anne Etschmayer Doherty, his son Patrick Doherty and grandson Joseph Doherty of Murfreesboro. Other survivors include his brother Anthony Doherty of Kingston, Canada and several nephews and nieces. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Dubreuil, Glen Chester, Elmer Blair, Tony Trovato, Bill Fisher, John Raub and Roger LaPoint.
