Funeral service for John Nolen Russell, age 89 of Cunningham, will be Tuesday, Apr 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Donnie Harrison will officiate. Burial will follow at Louise UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, Apr 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and Tuesday, Apr 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home. John passed away on Friday, Apr 21, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville. He was born on Sep 29, 1927 in Montgomery County, TN to Julius and Clara Harvey Russell.
John was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ and Central Civitan. He retired after over 40 years at Acme Boot Company. After retirement he had his own lawn cutting business.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Claude Russell, and he is survived by his loving wife of almost 67 years, Mary Frances Parker Russell, children, Ronnie (Kim) Russell and Vickie Petty, grandchildren; Lisa Black Barrett, Richard Russell, Jonathan McClanahan, Ashley McClanahan, and Gage Sherlock, as well as 7 great grandchildren.
