John Wallace Lyle, age 78, of Trenton, KY passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Northeast Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Felts officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Trenton, KY.
He was born May 26, 1935 in Palmyra, TN to the late Henry and Pearl Bryant Lyle. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Hilda Sensing, Sue Hunt and brother, Henry Lyle, Jr.
He was an Insurance Agent for 45 years. He was a Christian and a member of Northeast Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, choir member and soloist. With God's blessings, he provided many years of beauty and blossoms on the church grounds.
He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth "Libb" Lyle; sister, Mary Kentner; son Mike (Kay) Lyle; daughters, Connie (Robert) Thomas, Bonnie (Bob) Maynard; Lora (Michael) Young; Deana Coppedge; grandchildren, Samantha, Merideth, Tracy, Benjamin, Marti, Misty, Katie, Ethan, Amanda, Billy, Hope; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Missions Offering, Northeast Baptist Church, 3900 Trenton Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
