John Head

A Celebration of Life service for John Andrew Head, age 59 of Cunningham, will be Saturday, Mar 03, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Reverend Sonny Kim  will officiate. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, Mar 02, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and Saturday, Mar 03, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Sykes Funeral Home. John passed away on Wednesday, Feb 28, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born on May 02, 1958 in Montgomery County, TN to James and Wanda Holt Head. John worked in the printing industry for 40 years working at The Leaf Chronicle, Quebecor, and Jostens. He was a member of Forest Street United Methodist Church and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Nashville Predators, Memphis Grizzles, and the UT Vols.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother Tim Head, and survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Beverly Wend Head, daughters; Ashley Head, Audrey Pickerill, and Hillary Head, brother Kelly (Connie) Head, sister Jennifer (Brent) Keen, and grandson Finnick Pickerill.

Pall bearers will be: Ronnie Byard, Johnny Hoffman, Ronnie Hoffman, Steve Blackwell, Chris Blackwell, Brent Hyams, David Griffey, and Steve Arrington.
