Funeral service for John Tyler Gafford, age 87 of Clarksville, will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home.
John passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2017 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on June 11, 1930 in Indian Mound, TN to Robert and Emma Gafford. He was retired from the United States Air Force and Civil Service from Ft. Campbell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edna White Gafford, brother, Robert Gafford, and son in law, William Austin.
He is survived by his children; Glenn (Janet) Gafford, Wayne (Kristi) Gafford, Michael (Sheila) Gafford, Karen (Steven) Ford, Sharon Austin, Janet (Mark) Gafford, and Diane (George) Clark, sister, Iris (Robert) Lee, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
