Joe Allen Pepper, 59, Clarksville, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Holland officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Allen was born May 3, 1951 in Stewart County, son of the late Leon and Meredith Claxton Pepper. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Pepper.
He was employed by the Clarksville Gas & Water Dept, and is a member of the Jesus Name Full Gospel Church.
Survived by his wife Francie Walker Pepper, daughters Christy (James) Shelpman of Greenbrier. and Jessica (Brian) Mayes of Clarksville. His granddaughters are Emily and Lauren Mayes, "who were the light of his life". Other survivors include his brothers Marvin Pepper, Dover; Claude Pepper, Clarksville; and Luther (Anna) Pepper, Dover. His sisters are Jewel Blake, ILL; Paulette Owens, Paris; and Gracie (Roy) Barker, Carlisle.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Swift, Scott Johnson, Jeremiah Holland, Michael Gaines, Patrick Mayes and Justin Boots.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any branch of Regions Bank.
