Joann Beard Gibbs, age 74 of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A family Graveside Service will be at Sango Cemetery with Dr. Larry Robertson, Bro. Joe Haley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery.
She was born in Trenton, KY on March 24, 1941 to the late Ira and Maril Hogue Beard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Carbide” Gibbs; brothers, Larry Beard and Danny Beard. She was retired from Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation and a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Glenda (Tim) Williams, Judy Gibbs; brothers, Robert (Bubba) Beard, Paul Beard, Junior (Micky) Beard, Ray Beard; sisters, Myrt Howard, Bea (Ed) Burt, Linda Wilkins; grandchildren, Blake Drum, Blair Drum, Morgan Boone; great-granddaughter, Madison Boone and great-grandson, Levi Rye.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
