Funeral service for Jimmie Rogers Ham, age 82 of Clarksville, will be Monday, Nov 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 11:00 am until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jimmie  passed away on Friday, Nov 13, 2015 at Grace Health Care.  He was born on Oct 29, 1933 in Cumberland City, TN to Dolph and Susie Parchman Ham Sr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dolph Ham, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Lela Bottoms Ham, daughter, Emily (Glenn) Matthews, grandsons; Iain Matthews and Niall Matthews, brother-in-law, James C. Bottoms, sister-in-law, Dorothy Ham, step-nephew, Billy Simmons, his faithful cat, Johnny and several cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Jimmie was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church for 59 years. In the past he served on the Administrative Board and the following committees; Pastor-Parish, Worship, Council of Ministries, Stewardship, Chairman of Ushers(9 years), Trustee (6 years), and maintained the heating and cooling system for 18 years.

He served in the Artillery branch of the United States Army and retired from Ft. Campbell civil service in 1994. He was voted Civilian of the year in Trades and Craft category in 1989. He was a member of the following clubs; Clarksville Masonic Lodge No. 89 F.& A.M. Clarksville Chapter No. 3 Royal Arch Masons, Clarksville Council No. 105 Cryptic Masons, Clarksville Commandery No. 8 Knights Templar, life sponsor of the Kights Templar eye Foundation, Inc, Associate patron of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Grand Commanders Club of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc., Grand Masters Club of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc., Al Menah (Shrine) Temple and Clarksville Shriners. He was Clarksville Shrine Club Chaplain 1988-1997, 2003-2008. He was awarded the club Presidents Award in 1995, Certificate of Appreciation 1992, Shriner of the Year 2003, Shrine Couple of the Year 1996, Clarksville Shrine Club Clown Division Treasurer 1994-2014. Jimmie enjoyed being a Shrine Clown for many years and was in many parades with his puppet "Scooter". Jimmie passed Scooter on to fellow Shriner Phillip Morris so Scooter can continue to be enjoyed by all.

Jimmie's favorite scripture was St. John, chapter 14 vs. 1-3. He was an avid fan of Southern Gospel Music. He would like to be remembered as a Good Christian with great compassion for others. He was a devoted and faithful husband, father, and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Bethlehem UMC Helping Hand Funds, Clarksville- Montgomery County Humane Society, or Montgomery County Animal Control.
