Jeffery Alan Birthrong, 47, Clarksville, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Veterans Hospital. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Burris officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Birthrong was born October 4, 1962 in Ft. Lewis, WA, son of the late Al and Dora E. Shiflet Birthrong. He was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Birthrong.
Jeffery served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by two children Charles "Chucky" and Hannah Birthrong of Clarksville. His brothers are Dennis Myers, Clarksville; Terry Birthrong, Nashville; Mike Birthrong, Clarksville; and Ronnie Birthrong, Atlanta, GA. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
