Janice Hollis

A Celebration of Life service for Janice Sue Hollis, 85, will be on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Brother Mike Madewell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Janice was born on April 10, 1937 to Buell and Lula Bell Stewart. Janice was a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church. Janice had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her flowers. Her sweet soul and generous spirit will be missed by family and friends alike.

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wayne Hollis; son, Ralph Hollis; daughter, Jennifer Hollis; and sisters, Ruth Wall and Louise Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Alisa Morrison; granddaughter, Heather Hollis Durai and her husband, Chris; grandson, Charles Morrison, Jr.; great grandchildren, Lily and Jessica Durai; son-in-law, Charles Morrison, Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Wright.

The family would like to thank Robert and Carolyn Brown, Larry Wall, and Valerie Gant, for their special help in the family's time of need.

In lieu flowers, donations may be made in Janice's memory to Mount Herman Baptist Church.
