James "Jim" Pojanowski

A Celebration of Life service for James "Jim" Henry Pojanowski, 70, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, July 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Jim passed on July 3, 2021 doing what he loved the most. He was born on July 25, 1950 in St. Paul, MN to Henry and Katherine Holtzbauer Pojanowski who precede him in death.

Jim was a truck driver and retired from Averitt Express after 25 years of employment. He married his wife, Susan Williams Pojanowski on August 5,1972 and enjoyed 34 wonderful years together before her passing in 2006. He was lucky enough to fall in love again with Joyce Crandall and shared 5 years of companionship. Jim was a kind-hearted, free-spirited individual who never met a stranger and was known for living life wide open. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, bicycling, drinking beer, and socializing. He will be missed deeply by his family and life-long friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Retherford. He is survived by his children, Diane (Mark) Woods and Jonathan (Lora) Pojanowski; brothers, Rick (Debbie) and Chuck (Patricia) Pojanowski; grandchildren, Samuel and Lucas; and brother-in-law, Larry Retherford.
