James Austin Vaughan, 71, Clarksville, died Monday, November 22, 2010, at Clarksville Nursing & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Raymond Bass and Brother David Hood officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Vaughan was born June 18, 1939 in Montgomery County, son of the late William Joseph and Sallie Esther Harris Vaughan. He was retired from the Trane Co. Survived by his life partner Shirley Bolding, one son, three daughters, three sisters, and three brothers.
