James Trotter

James Edward Trotter, 89, Palm Bay, Florida, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at his home. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Justice officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Trotter was born January 14, 1921 in Montgomery County, TN son of the late Elige and Ila Potts Trotter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; Jack, William, Bob and Pat Trotter, Mary Meek and Crystal Hogue. Mr. Trotter was a retired Inspector for General Motors where he enjoyed his work for over 27 years, and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid gardener. Mr. Trotter is survived by his son Terry Lee Trotter of Palm Bay, Florida, sister; Alice Mason of Bon Aqua, Tennessee and a host of neices and nephews. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Trotters honor.
