James Sparks Jr.

James Donald Sparks, Jr. lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully at 7:15 p.m. on September 1, 2018, in Clarksville, Tennessee at the age of 56. Jim is survived by his daughter, Amber Behrendt of Fernley, Nevada, Mother, Donna Walton of Birch Tree, MO, sisters Laura Simon (Brad Simon) of Lafayette, CA and Sherrill Dalto of Danville, CA, and brother Jerald Sparks (April Sparks) of Clarksville, TN. He is preceded in death by father James Donald Sparks, Sr. of Concord, CA, and sister Deborah Doell (Alan Doell) of Livermore, CA.
Jim was born on September 25, 1961, in Concord, CA to James and Donna Sparks. He served in the US Navy from February 1980 to January 1985.  After moving to Oak Grove, Kentucky in 2010, he began working as an automotive technician for Walmart.  He had many friends and built strong relationships in Oak Grove. He was known for his kind heart and sense of humor.
Jim's wish was to be cremated and have his remains scattered in the sea off the deck of a submarine. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. The family is grateful for the condolences but declines flowers and donations.
