James Roby

James Otha Roby Sr. died May 27, 2017 peacefully in his home. He was a resident of Clarksville, Tn. Mr. Roby was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and fought in World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam. Mr. Roby was with the 247 Combat Engineers. After retirement from the Army, he worked at State Stove Industries for 15 years.
Mr. Roby was preceded in death by his wife- Erika Anna Wagner Roby; 3 brothers and 1 sister; parents - Sarah and James Lewis Roby of Kentucky.
James Roby Sr. survivors are: daughters- Marion Garbe of Maine; Mary (John) Loney of Clarksville, TN; daughter- Gelinda Sue Roby of Clarksville, TNson- James O. (Sandra) Roby Jr. of Greenbrier, TN. Mr. Roby has 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Family will have a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Clarksville, TN at 1pm on June 6, 2017.
