James Franklin Pennifield, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, November 11, 2011 at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Robin Courtney officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
He was retired from the US. Army and the Trane Company.
Mr. Pennifield was born November 28, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to the late James Robert and Thelma Marie Abell Pennifield.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Hayden Pennifield; sons, James Lawrence Pennifield, Robert William Pennifield, Thomas Anthony Pennifield; daughters, Jeanette Lynn Revell, Theresa Ann Schultz, Mary Margaret Pennifield; two sisters; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
