James Richard McDonald, 69, of Hendersonville, TN died October 31, 2010 at Alive Hospice of Madison, TN. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Carver and Brother John
McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Mr. McDonald was born September 30, 1941 the son of Hollis Corbin McDonald and Versie Anderson McDonald. He was retired from Oscar Mayer and a member at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his son James A. McDonald, daughters Michelle (Greg) McDonald Shoemaker, Marcia (John) McDonald Jared, Melinda (Dano) McDonald Whited and Alicia McDonald. His brothers are David, John and Sam McDonald. Sisters are Rebecca Vanderpool and Debbie Hines. His grandchildren are Katie Shoemaker, Madison Jared, Caleb Jared, Samuel Jared, Olivia Whited, Derek Whited, Emma Whited, Wesley Whited and Virginia Whited. Pallbearers will be Greg Shoemaker, John Jared, Dano Whited, James McDonald, Doug Franklin, Billy Joe McDonald and Allen Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be David McDonald, John McDonald, Sam McDonald, Bob Vanderpool, Steve Hines, Key Dillard and Clyde Beavers.
