James Kaufman

James Edward Kaufman, 90, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on September 18, 2021. He was born on August 15, 1931 in Albany, NY to Otto and Olga Kaufman.

James was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Chief Building Inspector for the City of Greenville, NC. He was a Little Falls Community Elk Lodge member in New York and could be found most days in his recliner with his dog in his lap.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Constance Shaut and Mary Rathbun; and sister, June Champion. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruby Fowler Kaufman; children: James (Joyce) Kaufman, Jr., Deborah (Dave Warner) Kaufman, and Pamela (David) Lavalla; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
