James "Jimmy" Patterson

A Celebration of Life service for James "Jimmy" Thomas Patterson, age 73, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:30 until the time of service. 

A native of Clarksville, Jimmy was born on July 10, 1951, to William and Polly Patterson who preceded him in death. He passed away on February 16, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Jimmy was a 1969 graduate from Clarksville High School and retired from the Vulcan factory. His favorite times were spent with his family and grilling their favorite foods. He also enjoyed bowling, drag racing, and gardening. Jimmy had a green thumb and could grow anything. 

Jimmy is survived by his children: Jennifer Byrd, Brian Patterson, and Melissa Patterson; brother, Jerry (Brenda) Patterson; grandchildren: Laura Sanchez, Matthew Patterson, Mason Patterson, Trevor Raines, Tyler Patterson, Haley Patterson, and Andrew Patterson; great-grandchildren, Averleigh, Karley, Maddie, Evelyn, Sawyer, and Rysen, and many nieces and nephews.
