James Hastings, Jr.

Funeral service for James David Hastings, Jr., age 78 of Hendersonville, will be Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McKendree United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00AM until the time of service. James  passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare.  He was born on October 12, 1940 in Paris, TN to James "Shorty" and Medie Hastings.

He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church for many years. During his membership he served on the staff as the Business Administrator. He retired from Ford Motor Credit in 2005. He was a man of faith dedicated to his family and church.

James is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife MaryAnn Hastings, daughters; Theresa (Dan Searle) Wright, Mary Anne (Eric) Williams, Amy (James) Garton, and Shallen Cropper, brothers; Terry Lee Hastings (Velma) and Larry Jo Hastings (Kim), grandchildren; Gary Noe, Jr., Allen Noe, Katherine Anne Williams, Audrey Grace Williams, Sarah Garton, Morgan Garton, Patrick Gibson, and Owen Cropper, and great-grandchildren Haylee and Evelyn.
