Funeral service for James Oliver Harmon Sr., age 80 of Clarksville, will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home . Rev. Ben Falls will officiate. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, September 20 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
James passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Spring Meadows Healthcare. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Monticello, KY to Leslie Harmon and Elba Hancock. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and the Palmyra Masonic Lodge #747. James also served in the United States Marines and was retired from the Trane Company.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Lucille Harmon, and their daughter Pam Harmon.
He is survived by his sons, Gary (Katherine) Harmon, and Jimmy (Debby) Harmon, brother, Ray (Julie) Hancock, sisters, Violet Harmon and Kay Robinson, grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nathan Harmon.
