MSgt (Ret) James E. Foust, age 80, of Chapmansboro passed away Thursday, November 10th at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Smith officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. until hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Foust was born March 22, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to the late Arthur Lee and Mildred Gooch Foust. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Foust; brother, George Foust; sisters, Mary Lee Dempsey, Linda Floyd and a grandson, Bruce Foust.
He was a Retired MSgt with the U.S. Army having served 31 years, Retired Maintenance from Parkview Hospital, Charter Member of Pleasant View 1st Baptist Church in Pleasant View. He was also a Golden Glove of Washington, D.C., Boxer on the U.S. Army Team and a Coach on the Caribbean Boxing Team.
He is survived by his sons, Danny (Kara) Foust, Sr. of Chapmansboro, James (Jill) Foust of Louisville, KY; daughters Betty Foust of Pleasant View, and Dawn Tinsley of Cedar Hill; brother Ronnie Foust of Denver, CO; sisters, Barbara Wortman and Nancy Foust of MD; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
