Izetta Mae Houston Kincaid Stroud, age 87, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Montgomery Care and Rehab Center in Clarksville, TN. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andrew Keffer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 1:00 p.m. until hour of service on Saturday.
Izetta was born September 16, 1923 in Connersville, Indiana. She was the daughter of John and Daisy Houston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, David C. Kincaid, her second husband, Raymond Stroud, her sister, Christy Borger.
Izetta was a loving mother and loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. She helped run the Bible Book Store in Evansville, IN for years. She also made three trips to the Holy Land and gave talks about her experiences. She helped build P47 Thurderbolt planes during WWII. She thoroughly enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed her retirement years in Florida.
She is survived by her son, David M. (Elaine) Kincaid; grandson, Brett (Angela) Kincaid; grandchildren, Tyler and Mallory Kincaid, all of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Marie Hilbert, Carol (Leonard) Powell of Connersville, IN and many nieces, their families and friends.
