Irene Davis

A Celebration of Life service for Irene Pierce Davis, age 93, of Adams, TN, will be Monday, March 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Irene was born in Sumner County, TN on October 15, 1928 to Charles and Etha Baker Pierce. She passed away on March 22, 2022. Irene was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She volunteered her time in her church's nursery and at the Smith-Trahern Mansion. Irene enjoyed sewing and crocheting so much that she made gowns and blankets for children in neo-natal units in hospitals. She was a great cook and  had a green-thumb when it came to gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wilson Davis; sons, Kenneth Dale Davis and Richard Lee Davis; and brother, Charles Pierce, Jr. Irene is survived by her daughters-in-law, Dana Nethery and Lisa Davis; long-time friends and neighbors, Bobby and Mary Williams; and many more loving family members and friends.
