Hudson Barfield

Hudson Gray Barfield, infant son of Kelly and Dallas Barfield, peacefully passed away in the arms of his parents on January 23, 2016 at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Hudson was born on December 9, 2015, premature at 27 weeks and immediately stole the hearts of everyone he met.
In his 45 days on Earth, he touched the lives and hearts of so many. He brought a lifetime of joy and happiness to his parents, family, friends and NICU staff. Hudson had an amazing spirit and was a fighter, He loved story time, kangaroo care with mom and dad, singing “Jesus Loves Me” and having his head and feet rubbed by his Grandmommy Lisa.
He is survived by his big sister, Maddie Barfield and many loving grandparents, Lisa and Alex Adames of Clarksville, TN, Guy and Sharon Buher of Franklin, TN, Linda and Ronnie Stovall of Clarksville, TN and Bill and Pam Barfield of Erin, TN, Great- Grandmother Rachel D. Yarbrough. He also has many aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him greatly.
The family wants to personally thank his primary NICU nurses at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for the wonderful care and love that was shown to Hudson and the entire family during their time there.
A private family service will be held in honor of Baby Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville in Hudson’s name or an account for the family has been established at Cumberland Bank & Trust.
