Howard Thomas Sleigh, 81, Clarksville, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at Williamson Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:00 until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sleigh was born June 26, 1928 in Woodlawn, son of Simon Carl and Evie Thomas Sleigh. He was preceded in death by his son Howard Thomas "Tommy" Sleigh, Jr., two brothers James Bruce Sleigh, Gary Glen Sleigh, and a sister Frances Williams.
Mr. Sleigh was a Supervisor for Frosty Morn Meats and Odom's of Madison, TN. He attended Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn Hawkins Sleigh, daughters Linda Sleigh Pickett, Clarksville; Melanie Jane (Marshall) Capps, Brentwood; Janet Lynn (Mike) Malone, Clarksville, and Patty Elaine Metelko, Cincinnati. Other survivors are his brother William Maurice Sleigh, Clarksville, TN; sisters Beatrice Perry, Woodlawn; Virginia (Richard) Larsen, Issaquah, WA., and Joyce Lindsey, Smyrna, TN. Grandchildren are Elizabeth Smith, Allison Pickett, Amanda Pickett, Brandon Capps, Kathryn Capps, Kevin Malone,
