Howard Douglas Groves, age 70, owner of Mid-Atlantic Products of Nashville, TN, passed away at St. Thomas Hospital on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
The Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Hargrove officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rye's Chapel Cemetery.
Howard was a member of Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church and a graduate of Austin Peay State University. He was born June 30, 1943 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Herschel and Ada Groves.
He was preceded in death by brothers, George Groves, James Groves and John Groves.
Howard is survived by his longtime companion, Katherine Madden of Nashville; his brother, Billy (Peggy) Groves; his sisters, Virginia (O.C.) Groves and Evelyn (the Late Kent) Huneycutt.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Rye's Chapel Cemetery Fund, mailed to Dorothy Groves, 224 Gray's Chapel Road, Cunningham, TN 37052.
