Herschel Brake Baggett, age 83 of Cunningham, passed away December 4, 2011 at his residence. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Brooks officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 and on Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baggett was born June 7, 1928 in Montgomery County, son of the late Walter and Mary Castleberry Baggett. He was preceded in death by his brothers Acie, Wade and Paul Baggett, and sister Sara Major.
Mr. Baggett was employed by Marathon Oil Refinery in Detroit, Mi. for 36
