Helen Yvonne Shipp, age 65, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. No Services are planned.
She was born on February 5, 1949 in Dundee, MS to the late Cleo Jackson and Jessie M. Gibbs Smith. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Milton Turner. She was employed in the Food Services in the School System and a member of the St. Peter AME Church in MS.
Other than her mother, Jessie M. Gibbs Smith, she is survived by son, Kenneth (Nicosia) Jones; daughter, Latreece Jones; siblings, Vivian Frost, Tommy Leonard, Brandy Alman, Chauncey Smith, Medgar Smith; grandchildren, Kyle Glenn, Kenneth Glenn, Nalania Jones, Naysa Jones; great-grandchild, Amaya Glenn.
