Helen Virginia Brewer, age 73, of Clarksville passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.
Helen was born September 8, 1940, in Lewisburg, TN to the late Paul Thomas Cheeves, Sr. and Edna Mae Williams Cheeves. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Earl Hammonds; her son, Perry G. Hammonds; and brother Paul T. Cheeves.
She is survived by her children; son, William M.Hammonds; daughter, Barbara D. Youngs; brother George W. Cheeves; sister, Betty J. Snyder; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
