Gladys O'Brien

Gladys Price O'Brien, 89, Clarksville, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Graham officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Ms. O'Brien was born January 9, 1921 in Montogmery County, Tn, daughter of the late Henry Melvin Price and Fannie Davenport Price. In addition to her parents Ms. O'Brien was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O'Brien and brothers J.W. Price and Douglas Price. Ms. O'Brien retired as the Post Master of Saint Bethlehem, TN. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Ms. O'Brien is survived by daughters; Peggy L. Weaver and Pat (Larry) Schmittou-Hayes both of Clarksville, six grandchildren; Scott (Melanne) Seay, Todd Schmittou, Lisa (Danny, Jr.) Farmer, Steven (Angie) Seay, Lori (Brett) Wyatt and Jason (Nancy) Weaver; seven great-grandchildren Scottie Seay, Ashleigh Parchman, Tyler Marrapese, Harley and Brayden Wyatt, and Wyatt & Reagan Nicholson.
