A memorial service for Gerard "Jack" Laperle, age 93 recently of Clarksville, will be Friday, Nov 06, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in his hometown of Colebrook, New Hampshire.
Jack was a longtime resident of Colebrook. He served in WWII as an Army Medic. After his discharge he became a watchmaker and in 1961 was appointed Postmaster and served until his retirement in 1984. He was a ham radio operator, a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, the Kiwanis, and the American Legion.
Jack passed away on Thursday, Oct 29, 2015, at Grace Health Care. He was born on Feb 25, 1922, in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada to the late Wilfred and Rosalie Chicoine Laperle. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen "Kay", daughter, Linda(Robert)Burton of Springfield; son, Brian(Christine)Laperle of St. Petersburg; sisters, Claire Fauteux, and Denise Pariseau; granddaughters, Lauren Burton-Ransdell and Mary Margaret Burton; grandson, Zachary Burton, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister Pauline Rancourt; brothers, Aimee Laperle, Laurent "Zeke" Laperle, and Conrad Laperle.
