Georgia Lovelace

Georgia Lovelace, age 91, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare. She was born on December 16, 1926 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Belcher of Akron, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lester Lovelace.

She attended Excell Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Terrell Marcom officiating.

She retired in 1998 after a 30 year career in banking, with 23 years at First National Bank and 7 years at Heritage Bank. She enjoyed reading, watching sports activities, and had a passion for animals.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law Thelma Rhea and Joyce (Bob) Reed of Knoxville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Georgia's memory to Excell Baptist Church Building Fund, 328 Excell Road, Clarksville, TN 37043

Pallbearers will be Alex Cochran, Len May, Bill Boon, Al Hazel, Tom Weaks, and Ron McCafferty.

A special thanks are extended to Aseracare Hospice for their gentle and professional care, the staff of Tennova Healthcare, the pallbearers, the friends and neighbors of Abby Lynn for their loving and compassionate support, Pastor Marcom, members of Excell Baptist Church, Sykes Funeral Home and staff, and to her friends for the love and kindness shown to her during her hospital stay and following her death.

Friends are welcome to attend a reception following the service at the Abby Lynn Clubhouse, 38 Abby Lynn Circle, Clarksville, TN 37043.
