Gene Lionell Cook, 81, Clarksville, died Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Montgomery Care & Rehab.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Wesley officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cook was born November 27, 1929 in Stewart County, son of the late Samuel Otho and Aline Sykes Cook.
He was retired from Purity Dairy and was a member of Antioch UMC.
In addition to his wife Lottie Bumpus Cook, he is survived by his daughter Kathy (Ken) Barnhill of Clarksville; brother Charles Cook, Chattanooga; brother Harold Cook and sister Louise Lowry both of Clarkville. He has two grandchildren, Brandon and Tracye.
