Gail Leigh Gahring

Gail Leigh Gahring, age 86, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away on February 27, 2025.

Gail was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend. Gail was born on January 25, 1939 in Terre Haute, IN to Ralph and LaVon Tiley.

Gail spent the better part of three decades in her chosen career teaching grades K-4 at various elementary schools as her husband’s military career relocated them to several states and abroad in Germany where she also gave birth to her eldest daughter, Kay. Gail had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people smile. Her kindness and warm heart meant that she made friends wherever she went.

Along with her late husband, MAJ John W. Gahring (Ret), she traveled many rivers and followed the Florida Coast to the Bahamas in their boat making lasting memories. Gail was an avid reader, enjoyed playing games, and completing puzzles. Mostly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Gail will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Gail is preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Baxter and brother, Gary Tiley. She is survived by her children, John (Rebecca) Gahring and Vicki (Leslie Lorance) Gahring; son-in-law, Gregory Baxter; grandchildren, Tiley Gahring and Cooper Baxter; and her beloved dog, Beatrice "Bebe".

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Memorial, Park Funeral Home & Cremation Services 5239 Main St, Spring Hill, TN 37174. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
