Freeda Marie Bumpus

A Celebration of Life service for Freeda Bumpus, age 87, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, December, 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Douglas "Gene" Bumpus. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. 

Freeda was born on December 7, 1935 in Tishomingo, MS, to Otha and Reba Hill. She passed away on December 4, 2023. Freeda loved singing and listening to Southern Gospel music, getting her hair and nails done, riding her zero-turn mower, and having lunch with her best friend, Dottie. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Freeda is preceded in death by her sisters, Ouida Ireland and Regetta Craig. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Debbie) Bumpus and Darrell (Susan) Bumpus; grandchildren: Amanda Bumpus, Bryan (Pam) Bumpus, and Lisa Dominiak; great-grandchildren: Devon Bumpus, Javier Montemayor, Heather Roby, Jonathon Roby, Colton Roby, Lawton Roby, Libby Dominiak, Linik Dominiak, and Lindy Jo Dominiak; and great-great grandchildren: Morgan Montmayor, Cillian Bumpus, Rosalee Bumpus, Eli Roby, Tucker Roby, Cami Trainor, and Braddox Trainor.
