Freddy Haywood

A Celebration of Life for Freddy Don Haywood, 85 of Clarksville, will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 11:30 AM until the hour of service.

Freddy passed away on May 13, 2021. He was born on April 18, 1936 in Hughes Springs, TX to Homer and Eileen Haywood. He was an Army veteran and retired from civil services. Freddy enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, spending time with his family, and trying to play the guitar.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Doris Clark, LaVergne Haywood, and Carroll Haywood. Freddy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Haywood; son, Dewayne Haywood; daughters: Patty Maggard and Priscilla (Jody) Westover; and 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
