Frank Arthur Smith

A Celebration of Life for Frank Arthur Smith, age 83, of Cumberland Furnace, TN, will be Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM and again Friday from 11:30 AM until the time of service. 

Frank was born on May 3, 1940, in Montgomery County, TN to Arthur and Dora Smith. He passed away on October 23, 2023. Frank was a member of Sunnyview Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour books, watching John Wayne movies, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, fishing, and helping anyone in need. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 7 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Meacham Smith; children: David (Theresa) Smith, Susie Shrewsbury, Mike Baggett, Ann Baggett, Danny Baggett, and Evelyn (Warren) Turner; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Dora Teague and Linda Swartz.
