Evelyn Shamwell

Evelyn Eva Shamwell, age 78, of Clarksville, TN passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born the daughter of Santee and Ceclia Reeves on March 8, 1937 in Eunice, LA. She worked the majority of her life as operator of Kelly's Ribs & Burgers and The White House Dairy Freeze. She was a wonderful cook, a hostess at heart and enjoyed playing computer games.  Evelyn will be dearly missed by all her beloved family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shamwell; son, Gary Mitchell Williams; brother, Gerald Reeves and sister, Carolyn Jenkins.
She is survived by her brother Kenneth (Elanor) Reeves; one grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
